Features
JRC’s second generation, fully type approved S-VDR incorporates the latest network technology, utilizing an industry standard capsule that has proven itself as the most reliable in the market.
Playback-Software
JRC includes intuitive playback-software that also incorporates real-time monitoring functionality on the user PC. The data acquired can be displayed in both graphical and numerical format. Standard CSV (Comma Separate Values) data conversion enables easy and efficient exchange of information to shore, e.g. by e-mail. Additionally, the playback function is an ideal tool for crew training. Its ease of use and the freedom to survey a range of scenarios enhances the user’s navigation skills.

In-house technology
JRC uses self fabricated, reliable, marinised hardware, purposely designed for the S-VDR. The non PC-based equipment ensures spare parts are available for many years.
Black Box Design
Mount the black-box in a location where it is convenient to make all the necessary interfacing. The separate operation panel can be located on the bridge for easy access to status and alarm information.

Dedicated Industrial Operating System
The JCY-1850 S-VDR uses a highly reliable industrial operating system. The use of this unique software guarantees a stable operating environment to assist the mariner in a safer nautical future.
L3 Capsule
L3 is one of the main suppliers of flight recorders to the aircraft industry. They have proven themselves in the VDR market and are the worldwide leader in (S)VDR technology. L3 delivers one of the smallest and lightest S-VDR capsules in the market. This hardened, high-capacity data recorder utilizes the latest technology, providing the best value S-VDR in the maritime industry.
External Recording
JRC constantly innovates to ensure it can deliver you best performance. Standard LAN output enables you to connect up to 4 PC’s (own supply) by use of a hub (own supply). All S-VDR data, including radar video, can be stored on these PC’s. 3GB storage capacity per day is required if you would like to save the data on your computer. This allows you to easily playback, select and send data.
Interfacing capacity
The JCY-1850 is ought to be connected to a range of mandatory equipment to record various type of data, as defined by the requirements of IMO performance standard. The simplified voyage data recorder can be connected to various global navigation and communication equipment and sensors onboard a ship.
Configuration
JRC’s easy configuration assures continuous performance of the S-VDR system.
